Those who come to live as residents in a Harvest House are willing to enter into the challenge of building a "family-by-choice," of sharing the harvest of one another's lives. They are willing to create a spirit of acceptance and affirmation in the family by:

• endeavoring to see the best in each other
• holding no malice
• holding no bitterness
• being kind and compassionate
• being mutually forgiving
• speaking no harsh words or slander

When staff and residents live and work together in this atmosphere of mutual respect and responsibility, a new force of life and energy will begin and move on to make a better community - a better world!

Staff and volunteers, along with Sister Jeanne (second to left), Sister Mary Butler (left) and Sister Catherine O'Shea (right) are involved in the day-to-day care of the Harvest Houses and its residents.
