Those
who come to live as residents in a Harvest House are willing to enter
into the challenge of building a "family-by-choice," of
sharing the harvest of one another's lives. They are willing to create
a spirit of acceptance and affirmation in the family by:
endeavoring to see the best in each other
holding no malice
holding no bitterness
being kind and compassionate
being mutually forgiving
speaking no harsh words or slander
When staff and residents live and work together in this atmosphere
of mutual respect and responsibility, a new force of life and energy
will begin and move on to make a better community - a better world!
Staff
and volunteers, along with Sister Jeanne (second to left),
Sister Mary Butler (left) and Sister Catherine O'Shea
(right) are involved in the day-to-day care of the Harvest Houses
and its residents.
